New Luxury Apartments: Old Town Park Tower Three Nearly Complete

Old Town Park’s trio of luxury apartments is nearly complete! The grand finale – Old Town Park Tower Three – is set to be completed this spring. Located just north of downtown Chicago, at 228 W. Hill Street, the 447-foot tower is currently pre-leasing, with move-ins starting on June 17th.

Old Town Park Recap Sequence

Together, Old Town Park’s massive three-tower development project is a beautiful addition to the Chicago skyline. So, let’s rewind and catch up on the full story of Old Town’s luxury apartment community.

The master plan for the Old Town Park project was part of the redevelopment of the old Atrium Village housing project. A fusion of old and new, the three new high-rises joined the renovation of the existing nine-story 1970s-era building.

The entire complex sits at the northeast corner of Wells and Division streets. It takes up an entire block stretching south to Hill Street, with Atrium Village located just west of the new buildings.

The first tower, the shortest at 32 stories high, began leasing in 2018. This first phase raised eyebrows with penthouses renting for a whopping $45,000 per month.

Construction of the 39-story second tower was completed in 2020. It took luxury apartment amenities to an entirely new level with a huge indoor basketball court, several chic entertaining lounges, and a resort-quality relaxation spa with a hot tub, sauna and steam room.

Old Town Park Phase Three Developers

Vancouver-based Onni Group headed up the entire Atrium revamping project. In addition to Old Town Park, they have two other exceptional luxury apartments in downtown Chicago: the Hudson on Chicago Avenue opened in 2017, and they also just began pre-leasing at 369 W Grand.

Chicago firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture is in charge of the design at Old Town Park. Several eye-catching luxury apartment buildings stand out in their portfolio including 640 N. Wells and Essex on the Park. They are also the designers of the massive 2,200,000 square foot One Chicago development, which is currently under construction in River North.

Old Town Park Phase Three Design Details

So, if the first two buildings are any indication of what’s to come, Tower Three will be drop-dead gorgeous inside and out. The third tower rises from a dark brown brick base and transitions to light glassy walls encased by balconies and gray metal accents. Several units will have expansive city views from the projecting balconies. Refined finishes and upscale design elements will be on par with the first two towers.

An amenity deck on the sixth floor will be shared with Tower Two. The resort-quality community spaces will provide plenty of recreation and relaxation for residents. They include a hot tub, sauna, heated pool, huge green space terrace, indoor basketball court and impeccably designed lounge areas.

Tower Three’s residents will be left wanting for nothing. They’ll enjoy gourmet kitchens with stunning European flat-panel cabinetry, stylish designer appliances, and granite slab waterfall countertops. The spa-inspired bathrooms have glass-encased showers, stone vanity counters, and spacious mirrored medicine cabinets. Each unit also features floor-to-ceiling windows, wide-plank wood flooring, and a full-sized, front-loading washer and dryer. Balconies are included in several one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

While the interiors are stunning, the outdoor grounds are what really set Old Town Park apart. Lush landscaping across the vast grounds – including the outdoor terraces and rooftop decks – make the Old Town Park complex a true stand-out amongst downtown Chicago luxury apartment buildings
