Evo Union Park Apartments Set to Open in West Loop

If you live in downtown Chicago, renting an apartment near a park is such a huge bonus. Enjoy walks surrounded by giant old trees, take your dog to play in open fields, or just collapse after a long day and roll around in the grass and leaves (I won’t judge!).

That’s why I’m so excited to share updates about a pair of new sister properties – Evo Union Park Building and Parq Fulton – that are opening right across the street from West Loop’s Union Park. We previously reported they were approved, and now these two luxury apartment buildings are nearly complete.

Set to open in early 2022, pre-leasing is underway! Let’s take a deeper look at what to expect at one of West Loop’s coolest new apartment buildings – Evo Union Park.

Evo Union Park Apartments: The Details

Developers Marquette Companies have been investing a lot in Chicago’s Near West Side neighborhoods, with several developments currently in progress. For Evo Union Park, they partnered with architecture firm ParkFowler Plus (ex Brininstool + Lynch)

First, the facts: Evo Union Park stands 11 stories tall and has 242 apartments for rent. It also has 87 parking spaces, along with storage for 135 bikes.

The building’s design is consistent with other recent developments in the area that complement the industrial history of the West Loop and Fulton Market neighborhoods. The masonry, glass, and metal exterior fit right into the neighborhood, feeling both old and new at the same time. I also spy glass and metal balconies on some parts of the building, along with a second-story rooftop deck that overlooks the park.

What are Evo Union Park’s Apartments Like?

Convertibles, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments make up the mix of units, which are steeped in luxury finishes. They feature wood plank flooring throughout, plus the kind of chic kitchen and bathroom spaces we’ve come to expect from new apartments in West Loop

Luxury finishes include quartz countertops, artistic custom backsplashes, soft close cabinetry with under-lighting, glass walk-in showers, and stainless-steel appliances. You’ll also get a Nest thermostat and keyless entry system, which come standard.

Meet Evo Union Park’s Amenities

Evo Union Park didn’t skimp on the amenities, either. If you’re a fitness fanatic, this is the building for you. After a pickup game of basketball at Union Park, hop into the fitness center. It’s modern, sparkling clean and boasts Technogym equipment.

Enjoy Chicago’s steamy summers at the oversized pool or lounge in one of the cabanas and pretend you’re on vacation! The rooftop courtyard has tons of seating, plus grilling stations. With an entertaining space like this, you’ll be the envy of all your friends (and probably doing a lot of hosting too!).

If you work from home, Evo Union Park has you covered. Post-pandemic work philosophy was top-of-mind when the coworking space was designed. Decked out with individual work stations and private conference rooms, you don’t need to rent office space when you rent at Evo Union Park!

After a long day in your work-from-home office, head to the entertainment lounge to relax and socialize. There’s even a game room if you want to work out the day’s stress with a competitive round of ping pong.

And of course, Evo Union Park didn’t forget about its most important furry residents! The building, just like other dog-friendly apartments in West Loop – will welcome your pup and cater to their needs. An on-site dog run and pet spa were created just for Evo’s cutest residents. Plus, don’t forget that Union Park is right across the street and the Skinner Bark Park (the best dog park in West Loop!) is just a few blocks south.

Make a Move to West Loop’s Growing Fulton Market

While West Loop boomed with commercial and residential developments in recent years, the historic Fulton Market area of the neighborhood remained closed off from residential development. But, that all changed in 2021 when a Covid-challenged economy persuaded the alderman, and the community, to consider a change of heart.

Move to Evo Union Park, and you get in early on this fun and ever-growing community. Plus, the location is smart. Everything you could want living in downtown Chicago is outside your door, but you get to come home to this more chill and quiet corner of West Loop.

If you need to commute via public transport, the CTA Ashland train station, as well as Ashland Avenue and Madison Street busses, are about a 90-second walk away. This is truly the perfect location for renters who work in the Illinois Medical District. Hop on the Pink Line, and you’re at work in less than 15-minutes.

And then there’s my favorite neighborhood feature of all – you can stroll to all the amazing eateries, nightlife, shopping and entertainment on Randolph Street. Having the Little Goat Diner, Madewell, City Winery and Froth all within walking distance is this girl’s dream come true.
